SPRING WISHLIST

Spring always brings feelings of excitement & forward motion for me. The winters here are usually miserable being that it seems to rain every single day. This winter has been a little different but no less, I can still feel spring fever sneaking up.

As I've stated before, this year is all about being productive. In every area of life. This includes spending money more wisely & shopping smarter. I've become a complete list freak lately, making lists for absolutely everything. Lists of things I need for my bedroom, things I need to organize, places I want to see, people I need to talk to, etc etc etc. Lists helps me to stay focused especially in a shopping situation. Mindless shopping is the worst & what usually causes me to overspend & buy items that I usually only end up wearing once or twice.

This is my Spring Wardrobe Wishlist...

A strappy pair of ankle booties.


A pair of comfy, colorful khakis.


A pretty new blouse (or two...or seven)


An envelope clutch


A maxi skirt

Prepping For Fall

I am currently at Rosemary Beach in Florida with my family on vacation. My birthday is Friday so I decided to take myself on a little shopping trip today. I intended to just buy whatever caught my eye but I ended up purchasing half the things on my Fall wishlist. Every single thing I purchased was atleast 20% off AND tax-free! How did I get so lucky?!

These are the items purchased that were on my list for fall...

Black leather jacket - Old Navy ; Booties - Old Navy ; Distressed denim - A&F (I would never shop here, however all denim was HALF OFF!) ; Checkered shirt - J. Crew ; Black leather satchel - Francesca's

I am amazed that I stepped foot into A&F AND purchased something. The music & cologne nearly scared me off but I muddled through all in the name of denim! The checkered shirt has been on my wishlist for eons. I knew J. Crew would be the place to purchase it but I wasn't impressed with the price. However, I scored it for 30% off!

I am out of my mind excited about the faux leather jacket. I'm impressed with the structure & quality being that it was only $50 and from Old Navy, which I am usually not able to shop at because nothing ever fits me correctly. I've wanted one of these suckers for years.

Hopefully I'll be styling these pieces in the near future! Fall can't come soon enough.

Lately I've been feeling a bit uninspired...unmotivated...uneverything.

I've been feeling the most uninspired in the wardrobe department. Going from working at a boutique where I could wear floral dresses & strappy sandals everyday to a job where I am surrounded by motorcycles is a drastic change. I wear a t-shirt, jeans, & boots to work every day. That doesn't leave alot of motivation to do my hair or makeup, so I usually throw the hair up in a bun & swipe on some mascara & lip balm. It's so not my thing. But I love my job, so it's a sacrifice I was willing to take I guess!

Tonight I flipped through U.O.'s May catalogue & felt a little twinge of excitement for summer & my summer wardrobe. Excitement for more weekends like my last. Lots of night swimming, margarita drinking, party throwing, beach going & maybe even motorcycle riding!? But mostly dress wearing & swimsuit shopping. :)

A new shirt...& first day jitters

I don't think this really qualifies as a What I Wore post but I wanted to show off my favorite new shirt. I've never owned anything quite like it. For one, I don't really like wacky patterns. Secondly, I'm not the biggest fan of wearing color. & third, I HATE when shirts are cinched at the waist.

& look at me! I'm wearing a multi-colored, aztec printed shirt that is cinched at the waist. & I cinched it even more with a black belt. WHO AM I!?I purchased my last batch of clothes from Francesca's using my trusty discount on Friday. I'm going to miss that discount...

On a happier note, I start my new big girl job tomorrow at Boswell's Harley Davidson & I am so so so excited! But also really nervous. REALLY nervous.
